An interesting turn of events yesterday re Oliver Hotham’s run-in with the imbecilic Straight Pride UK. They changed their twitter account name to @prideofstraight and, in an odd move for a bunch claiming to be ‘proud’, protected this account.
They also posted a ludicrous press release responding to the day’s events, which is available to read in all its ignorant, stupid, inadvertently amusing glory on github at http://gist.github.com/craigtmackenzie/6214899
In addition, just to add a very amusing footnote, a spoof account has now taken over Straight Pride UK’s original, deserted twitter handle @straightprideUK
